50+ years early, and 2000+ miles southeast of Flint, one Sloane and Antoine Peterson and the gang actually first employed this tactic against the dreaded The 108 Righteous Bandits (Tom), centrist-sectarian infighting The Sloane Gang (Devon), and the politically avaricious profiteering of Morgan Cattle Co. (Arek), by goin' 3-0 and seizing the machinery what become "so odious—makes you so sick at heart—that you can't take part. You can't even passively take part. And you've got to put your bodies upon the gears and upon the wheels, upon the levers, upon all the apparatus, and you've got to make it stop."

And can't nobody do that better than your friendly neighborhood Protection Racket head by the likes of anarcho-syndicalist Angela Payne and her trusty passel o' Sleeping Giants - truly the sleeper home of the Blood Moon Rising set.

So that's what this deck does. At zero upkeep (folks with nuthin' ta lose), but enough working consciousness to shutdown the competition, this indefatigable shift of 52 struggled against the competition during 2017's first re-chambered Doomtown Tournament here at the heart of the Free Speech Movement, Berkeley California. Special thanks to my playgroup for being on the wrong side of history, and to newly-relocated Games of Berkeley for providing a space to organize in.

This homes produces so much exchange-value (money), and besets your opponent with a manure bucket of least-worse choices: "Should I not play a deed and stifle my own economy?" or "Should I supply my own historical enemy with the means of production needed to strike their own general victory?" is not a nice crossroads to be before. And so, this deck moves in, makes petty-wages (home + Ang), steals surplus-value (This is a Holdup!), and disables their enemies (Mugging), all the while building the movement (16 dudes + 4x Hired Help) to turn the tide against whoever stands in their way. You can even occupy your own deeds! Perhaps a nudge too far in the favor of Racketeering.

Thinkin' about doubling up on The Law Goes Underground because of how it allows you to make a bid for high reward without the risk; else pinning the opposition to a single location and allowing you to regroup one-day-ahead. Love the synergy between Rapier and Rancher's Lariat - especially the threefold utility of the latter (who'd a' thought regular ol' goods was so durn useful?) - as well as the morning mobility supplied by the protestant god-fearin' Sunday Best wearin' lumpenproletari. And ain't no replacement for a good Pinto as far as bein' two places at once.

So if you ever need to take arms against your local playgroup, or sitdown on the hard-bought machinery of your rat-racin' OP Kit Tournament, I recommend giving this deck a try. Did I mention nuthin' beats not goin' to work than a-goin' to work and not-at-all a-workin'?

I love the fact that you're running Angela Payne, Hired Help, and This is a Holdup! 'Nuff said.

As the home- and dude-base has evolved over the editions, becoming more affordable, I have re-evaluated my initial impressions with cards like Hired Help.

Also the synergy with The Law Goes Underground cannot be understated.
