EDIT: As per the comments, I'm an idiot and Howard just nerfs the Commission lol. So don't fetch it. He's a great 1-drop moneymaker that chills at home, keying off the outfit, Monte Bank, and Hustled.

Ol' Howard grabs the Commission. If it's in your opening hand, don't shuffle the hand back into the deck. Howard is always useful just as a Grifter in this deck. I practically never use Travis's ability.

Genesee "Gina" Tailfeathers over Travis if you never use him?

Found this out the hard way, but Ol' Howard and Gomorra Gaming Commission don't work together. The +1 production is a cost for the draw effect, and Howard negates the +1 modifier.

@InvertedGuard I thought about using her instead, but I like Travis for three reasons. 1) I like having 1 more rock guaranteed first turn. 2) I can throw a Revolver on him for 1 rock and I've got a 2-stud that I can throw around without risking influence. 3) Travis experienced is on value for my deck.

@rockergamer06 Uuuuugh, you're totally right, I completely derped on that. headdesk Granted, I played three games with this deck, and two of them I didn't use Howard's ability, and I'm still really happy with the structure of this deck. So I don't think is modified around that, I'd just continue running this with Howard as a 1 drop Grifter that just chills at home and functions with my home, Monte Bank, and Hustled to increase my income.

I would recommend running The Joker's Smile. Getting jokers out of hand, and getting jokers back in deck is very good. Opponents behave differently if they know your going to need to cheat to get better than a 4 of a kind verses the chance of play a legal 5 OAK. I've found it very good. The deck is running heavy on costly deeds, so it might be a better fit than Bank of California

Congratulations on giving Sloane their first reported win of the Epitaph season! :)

Presumably you built us a powerhouse economy while chipping away at your opponent's influence with Kidnappin'? Did you find yourself using Den of Thieves more for GR or Shootout hands, or move towards the latter as games went on? Interested in any changes you're considering, well done again.

@jaythejester I considered The Joker's Smile, because I do run that card in a lot of decks (especially when it's on value), but with this deck's non-deed economy engine, I find myself preferring the CP deeds on aces. It was rare I couldn't drop a 4 or 5 cost deed.

@harlath Thanks! :) I actually ended up not having to use Kidnappin' much at all, in part due to baiting my opponents into shootouts by stifling their economy through camping (and making my dudes look real tasty between bounty and Bad Company). But having that spot removal is definitely clutch.

I used Den of Thieves ability for GR in lowball, I'd estimate, 80% of the time. The 20% in shootouts definitely tended to be later game, where I was sitting on a big enough stack of cash that I didn't feel the need to bump my income during lowball. Plus, early game I really want to guarantee I use the outfit ability to put bounty on Grifters that I can then shuffle around with Makaio Kaleo, Esq. onto Milt Clemons for more money, or Marion Seville to get to him 3 bullets.

As for changes, I might put in some Cheatin' hate, especially now that I realize Gomorra Gaming Commission doesn't work with Ol' Howard, and I just want to keep him as a Grifter dude anyway. If I get other Grifters that cost 1 or 2 rock that can start with Sloane, I might switch out Howard at some point, but for now, Travis and Howard are the only 1-drop Grifters to double-up here. I also might try out Sherman Mortgage in this deck; I was worried it would be too many high cost deeds at that point, but I think it might be able to handle just one more.

Largely, though, I just really like playing this deck as is. It was fun.

Congratulations on repping Sloane! This deck looks really fun. Too bad your trick doesn't end up actually working though...

Questions: Why Outlaw Mask over Pair of Six-Shooters? Why four copies of Pearl-Handled Revolver? Why no LeMat Revolvers?

One suggestion: A single copy of It's Not What You Know...?

I ask because I have not been able to get "no cheatin' punishment" to work satisfactorily. Did your opponents play legal hands or did your bluff get found out? If the latter, how did you respond to that?

Cheers.
