Go easy on me! I haven't been playing the game long and this is my first custom deck built from cards from the base set only (I have two copies). I don't have the saddle bags yet! It's built to be a Dead Man's Hand deck, with a lot of Cheatin' Resolution abilities. Though my guts tell me it could use some work, so any constructive criticism or suggestions would be very helpful!

I was also looking for suggestions on my starting posse, but I was thinking Travis Moone, Philip Swinford, and Prescott Utter.

You definitely want to start a good stud shooter so I would go with Wendy instead of Prescott and probably start Tommy too, that would leave you enough starting cash to drop any deed other than Bank of California even if you lose low ball. Since you don't have any bars for Clem I'd run 4 Lucy's, you can put her into play easy if you need the 2 inf but then not pay her upkeep to get her back into your shootout structure, particularly if you're near a reshuffle. Cut the Rumors for Bounty Hunters, since your running B&Bs it will help you collect bounties while targeting important dudes. I'd cut a General Store for a Yan Li's, will help with giving out bounties and help keep you in the game or give Travis some influence so he can control a deed. Also run 4 Hired Guns, you can drop a Steven Wiles almost every turn that way. I love Pistol Whips too but you might want to drop one and the Cheatin Varmints for some Sun in Your Eyes since your deck wants to win shootouts they will help.

I am curious what happens with this deck during play, and what you might do to modify it, especially once you acquire the saddlebags.

@brystrom, I like the rehired Steven tactic. I have incorporated a bit of it into a deck and will see how it goes.
