Mary's Melee Miracles

The idea was to counter the controlling clowns by including Qs like Soothe, The Pharmacy and Missed! Which worked to a point. It was lovely to let them use up all their Paralysis Marks and then drop Xiong "Wendy" Cheng who could actually whip those clowns home for a change. I loved making sword-wielding Sister Mary Gideon hexproof using Sword of the Spirit but hadn't bargained for the fact that it doesn't stop Leonardo "Leon" Cavallo from booting her. Ultimately there were too many moving parts to get going against most non-control decks and not enough ways to finish off the clowns after you'd dodged their hexes.

Hex Slingin' was definitely the card I liked seeing the least from my opponents; Consecration was the card I liked seeing most myself. (The card that doesn't exist that I'd have liked to see most would have been some inverse of Hex Slingin' that would let me gain hand rank with Miracles? I can dream.)

Despite only going 1-4 at the Huddersfield Sheriff I was pretty pleased with how close things were in most of the matches with several of them being very close when time was called.
