NuFenix 72

This is an Eagle Wardens deck that I have been testing via OCTGN with friends.

It initially used 8, J, Q, however the 8's ended up not offering much and some adjustment led to only Spirit Dance staying, and the 8's changing to 10 instead.

Aside from pulling an 8, all of my shamans can pass every spirit check, which keeps my options flexible, and avoids me focusing on one character at the risk of losing the game if the worst happens to them.

The Buffalo Rifles are designed to work with The Pack Awakens so that I can have them join in at shootouts within town square or adjacent deeds (which is increased via Spirit Trail), and if the fight does go badly then each token can absorb 3 casualties due to becoming harrowed.

Fancy Hat is an off-value as they are great, means my 0 influence characters can become more threatening, whilst also giving me protection of cards such as Blood Curse.

The mobility of Spirit Trail for my 3 shamans and up to a potential 6, along with Mazatl's ability, means my opponent can rarely keep me off their deeds, and if they do chase me, I can easily move to somewhere else.

So far I haven't needed the combo of No Turning Back with a token dude, but having it available is better than not having in my opinion.

Whilst I have 8 off-values in total, as they are Hearts it does mean they gradually stay out of the deck, and along with acing my duplicate deeds via the outfit, whilst early game I may see weaker hands for lowball, it should turn to stronger hands.

This was built without much research on other decks, so upon seeing Totem Point recently was reassuring that the principle of what the deck is doing is great, though now looks like I am riding on the coat tails of others.

Looks like a solid build. How have you found John "Aces" Radcliffe at defending the square solo, especially with Marcia Ridge being a high priority target due to low starting influence? I do like your use of the Buffalo Rifle, which is something i'm keen to test with Totem Point.

John has been solid at protecting Marcia, although if I am able to have a means to add a spirit later I will as if things get real they can be thrown under the bus and then retreat home to safety.

Hope Buffalo Rifle goes well with your Totem Point deck. Being on value is great, though it does get in the way of more ancestor spirits.

I'm not so sure about the tokens having harrowed when you use the pack awakens from adjacent via Buffalo Rifle. With every other card that lets you bring a dude into play and join your posse the dude joins the posse at the location of the shootout. Buffalo Rifle lets your shaman join from adjacent, but the nature spirit token doesn't have a Buffalo Rifle so I'm pretty sure it has to join the posse at the shootout location which won't grant it the harrowed keyword.
