I've been playing a Sloan 3/5/7 huckster deck that is really nasty (not of my own design.) Then it came to me. Why not clowns? Why not cycle cards back into my Structure and make money in the process. Then this deck kinda hit me like a truck at 4:30 in the morning.

It's my first pass at it. My theory is that people are so used to seeing 4R control, they won't expect me to come out shooting. It's not tested at all yet, so your comments are definitely welcome.

Made a couple of changes -dulf -1 fetch +2 Stone Idol

Starting posse - Ramiro, Wilber, Travis, Arnold - 4 influence 2 income and 4 GR

Since you're playing shooty and shotguns, doesn't Mongawu make more sense than Wilber?

The main reason this archetype does not work well in 4R, I believe, is that there are too few spells in the deck to make good use of the outfit ability. Especially considering that Twist is only usable in combat, Fetch requires the opponent to cheat (on lowball you'll probably be at home), and Paralysis Mark will fail A LOT.

Also, the original Jonah deck is a a somewhat tweaked but still pretty standard 3+5+7 aggro shooter. Meaning that Shotguns are a handy tool to weaken the enemy before you shoot them dead, but not a combo win condition themselves. I think you might need a starting stud for this archetype to work, for example Mongwau.

I really like the idea. I'll see if I can cook something similar to this. I really dig the concept of clowns coming into town armed to the (pointy) teeth. :)

My thoughts on Arnold McCadish is that he won't be saving many people with his ability since you need a higher value then the dude. The values in the deck will predominately kill anyone but Dulf Zug.

@db0- That's probably a solid point. @mplain- Yeah, that makes sense. I was just tinkering. @Nakata- I'd love to see what you come up with.

@Bas100- Dulf Mongwau and Ramiro, but it was primarily an influence thing.

@Gazette_AlexRight now, I'm messing around with an abomination deck, as we've received our EDS here in Brussels.

Now that the Saddle bag is in the DB, I'll post the deck any day now. ;)
