May 2015 tournament winning deck from the A Muse N Games tournament.

Goal is to get Jen a Mechanical Horse and James a Flame Thrower before heading into town (if you even have to). Kyle only fails using the home ability (for the Quaterman or Mechanical Horse) if you're unlucky enough to pull a Quaterman. Had been playing this deck aggressively trying to control town square but metagame in these parts is heavy anti-cheat, heavy shootout action so it had been losing regularly. Tried to play more patiently and while games were hitting the 40 minute mark I never was in any real trouble. Only had to bring out non-Quaterman dudes in one game so anything less than a full house was rare.

Beat a Mario Sloane action deck in round 1. Allie had 3 CP in town and was being fed a steady diet of Quatermans while everyone else sat at Blake Ranch (I had sacrificed Travis with the first Quaterman). Shootouts were consistently a cheatin full house/four of a kind to his legal full house so after a couple of rounds was just left with Mario and Allie. Was lucky enough to have two Quaterman's in hand so he spent all his cheatin' resolutions on the first four of a kind and had nothing left when the second hit (also couldn't make his flush legal so Mario was toasted by another full house).

Second round played a Law Dogs Gomorra Jail Horse deck. Won lowball and hit a perfect starting hand. Quaterman (with home ability) into Town Square, Pat's Perch, Circle M Ranch (where Jen, Kyle, and James went), Mechanical Horse and reserves. Used the ranch to grab another two cards (one of which was Steven Wiles). After a couple of turns of losing a Quaterman with a bounty Gomora Jail was worth two control points. Dropped a couple of deeds down (still with one GR left) and he tried to take them (having to split up his posse). Took back one via shootout but had everyone ridden down. Enter Steven Wiles who strolled through town square to the jail for the win.

Round three was against a new player using the Law Dogs sample deck from the base set. That meant I would lose every lowball except one (and there were a lot). Somehow this match gave the most trouble as Kyle failed his Quaterman pull and had no deeds in hand. Over the next few turns got Travis Moone discarded by a Bounty Hunter (both drew full house). Then lost a shootout with James (+ flame thrower) with Sun in Yer Eyes when I drew a Quaterman (and discarded to draw Travis) and lost three of a kind to my two pair. Last turn he hit four of a kind on the lowball giving me enough cash to bring out Arvidh and give him a mechanical horse (and then I moved Kyle to Circle M Ranch) He had Wendy Cheng, Clementine Lepp, and another low draw that I can't recall in Town Square and moved Wendy to Circle M Ranch to take on Kyle (booting the other two to join the posse). Ended up with matching full houses that gave him the deed but losing one influence. He called the game there as I had enough GR to move Jen to take over his railroad station and while he could have moved Wendy there I still would have had control.

I wonder why you need so many dudes? Especially since you say you rarely bring out anyone but Quaterman. You could cut one at each value to make room for some actions at Q' - It's Not What You Know would cover the lack of cheatin' punishment, while Takin' Ya With Me would let you trade Travis favourably.

I'm also surprised to see Tail Between Yer Legs and no Cheatin' Varmint. Did you find the former easy enough to use? I always get called out first and thus unable to play it.

Cheating is so rare in shootouts I was getting stuck with a hand full of cheatin' resolutions so I swapped the Q actions for dudes. I should have added one or two more Steven Wiles. With the Mechanical Horse, I was calling them out almost every time after paying 2 GR to take over one of their deeds. I do like Takin' Ya With Me so I'll likely swap out a couple of dudes for it. Good idea.
