Hola eśe, welcome to Sodum. Looks like you've worn out your welcome in town. But that's no surprise is it? You renegades never get along well with the common man. If you came here for refuge, you won't find it. All you'll find here are a handful of damned souls like yourself, good for only one thing. Dealing death.

These hombres aren't what you would call "friends". They're more like wolves, fighting for supremacy in a pack. If you're strong enough they'll respect you, maybe even listen to you! One such man who's respect you'll want is José Morales. Don't let his smile fool you, that cursed huckster is a killer through-and-through. He love's a good shootout, and slings hexes from afar to weaken his targets first. It's gonna be real hard to keep him out of a fight, so your best bet would be to give him some backup. Who you ask? Why señorita Angélica Espinosa. Angélica's sniping will add extra power to any shootout José finds himself in. The more bullets the better. Now I don't know what you've heard about our posse, but we operate a little differently than other gangs. We like to take control of towns through alternative means. A couple of these talented members are Allie Hensman and Lawrence Blackwood. Allie is our eyes and ears in town, and her place should be in town square gathering intel. Make sure to back her up if suspicions arrise and the dogs are let loose. Lawrence can scope out opposing hombres property, giving him some leverage over the place. Use our talents to spead the opposition thin, corner them, and blast them away!

Now José ain't much of a huckster without a hex or two under sleeve, so be sure he knows a good Blood Curse or Paralysis Mark before sending out into the thick of it. Fetch will also keep him and his posse safe from any lowhanded tactics that may happen. We ain't necessarily Land Barons, so don't expect us to be building any schoolhouses along the side of the road. We got a couple of strikes like Pat's Perch if you need to make some solid coin, but if we're strapped for cash we can always tap into our Reserves. Another thing about these boys, one they get a bounty on their heads, they can become some real Bad Company. So feel free to knock down a door or two.

Our gang hits quick and hard. Put the screws to the locals in town wherever a weakness reveals itself. But also know when to back off, no sense dying in a battle that can't be won. And if you get lucky enough, Sloane herself might help smash some skulls.

In this outfit, strength is all that counts. Don't show any weakness, esé. If you do that, you just might survive.

This deck can be simultaneously constructed with the other 3 decks in the Soulful Set, with 1 Core Set, 1 New Town, New Rules expansion, and 1 Double Dealing expansion.

Why is this deck called Black Magic Woman? The original deck with this name on dtdb, the one published by spyke, featured Lillian Morgan, so it made sense...

Deck is built around huckster Jose (Black Magic) weakening opponents, then using heavy shooters (Angelica, Allie, Sloane) to gun em down (Woman). It's a name based on the deck as a whole, not just a single card.
