Tackledfish 5

This is the deck I played at this weekend's Gencon Doomtown Marshall event. A pretty standard control scheme, but got the job done. Every game was a good one and thanks again to the great people at Pinebox for running these events!

Congratulations on the Marshal victory!

This list is a little more shooty than the one I played in the most recent online event, but not by much - I think it goes to show that shooty-control is in a very strong place right now/still.

If I was asked to make a staple control list, this would be almost card-for-card what I'd make. So with that said, focusing on a couple of the differences:

  • Mourning Mist + Jacqueline Isham in the start hurts influence a bit, and forces dropping down to 4 (if you want to maintain the same starting economy). I like what they provide, but how do you feel about them, now that the tournament is done (seeding that they obviously did the job for you)?
  • Did the Forget provide much value? I'm thinking I'd love another Soul Blast and some Paralysis Mark, but IDK what I'd cut (I have a bad habit of cutting deeds, but I don't think that's right here).
