My single core version of the Astral Land Slide deck. Mostly the same composition of deck as Astral Land Slide, with the hopes of learning how to play the deck within the confines of a single core.

I felt that not having 4 Mustangs is tough to compensate for, and Pinto/Roan don't provide the same mobility I'm looking for, so I'm using Harold to get Mechanical Horses out.

I try to avoid shootouts because this deck will not win very many, but if I find myself in one, I can at least reduce bullets to a potentially winnable state.

I'm still unsure about what I should be looking for in my opening hand, or what I should mulligan to get, but I found that a cheap Saloon for Clem to take in day 1 with the outfit ability seems to be a good play.

Let me know what you think!

Have you played this at all? How did it do?

It has a chance against other single core decks, but I feel that it is lacking a lot of control that this deck ultimately needs. You need more Pistol Whips, Make the Smart Choice, and Rumors here honestly just like its 2 core parent.

It will win lowball an incredible amount of the time which is why having control oriented shootout abilities to be worthwhile.

How well does it shoot? Is it worth having Sun in Yer Eyes/Pinned Down/Unprepared? My suspicion would be they don't provide enough of a swing in a shootout to be worth including.

It shoots poorly with your best option being flushes. The bullet reducing clubs are there for potentially zeroing out your opponents bullets to maybe get a better chance at winning.
