based on this deck: http://dtdb.co/en/decklist/1186/white-widow-sheriff-event-1st-place-myrtle-beach-sc
I really like how this deck was running, but still I would make some changes. I guess it would be better to go off the K-value and focus on something else. There are not many situations when you can use EDS for control decks [you would get grifter or other non-changing the game dude]. Point Blank was also a rare situation.
I need to take a closer look on 5's or 7's to say what would work better.
I will publish updated deck later on, this one is what I chosen for the Sheriff event on last Saturday.
There were 19 players at the event in Cravow [@Hex], Poland

Thank you! When you have against yourself the 4th ring with paralys marks, blood curse and soul blast it is not so easy to win, as you are missing kidnappin's. This deck: dtdb.co was simply destoying me. I should be rushing for fights, but it was not so easy to get in one. I tied with it [1-1] only due to 2x EDS with opponents little missplay. And against this one it was almost imposible to contest for the town square: dtdb.co - no jobs, no money, no extra influence. Every attempt on the fight ended up with pistol with to Barton and even thou, he would be able to play Hot Lead Flyin' or No Turning Back - pretty strong againt this deck. I am thinking about something similar [draft]: dtdb.co but this is different topic and probably unprepared could be changed, but still they do get well with Angelica's Rapier :) |

Ouch! I only played against 1 ring control deck and he never got a good start and couldn't get anything going. The very sticky situations I was put in throughout the tournament (Hot Lead Flyin' included) I was able to dodge with the help of the bunnies removing mine or my opponent's entire posse home to end the shootout without taking casualties. This is where Point Blank was suppose to ace someone and you run away, but it never worked out that way. |
Congrats on 4th! :) Before the Sheriff Event that I won with this I had a "sideboard" of 7's i was debating to go in instead of the K's but I just like EDS too much. As for control decks I felt that Fred + Des Row would prevent control decks from winning by simply running out the clock and winning the tie-breaker due to your huge influence (at least that's what I had in mind). Point Blank I agree with you. I just didn't like any of the other choices available in that spot and I didn't want to run 4 EDS.
