Been playing around with a Law Dog horse deck. It runs 14 8s, 12 7s and 12 5s (13 with Travis making him even more expendable). I find it shooting pretty well especially considering with the Hired Help/Stevens/Bounty Hunter 8 stud draws are the norm with 11 studs not out of the question. Loaded down on Pistol Whips for value and they work great in conjunction with the spawned gunslingers leaving your real dudes unbooted to move into control of deeds\ future callouts. The starting posse is extremely flexible based on the matchup, but I always try to start with 5 GR min. This can be for a first turn deed and horse or go crazy with Bounty Hunter/Hired Help against aggro Sloanes if you have a Pistol Whip, Sun or both to back it up. Has been fun to play but does need more play testing.

It weems like a waste not to play four 3♣. More Suns or Stakes will always help :)

What do you need the horses for? I understand how useful they are in Morgan, but why in Law Dogs?

With all the horses and gunslingers, aren't you struggling for money?

Overall, interesting concept, but what are its advantages over a regular Law Dogs deck, or a similar build of Morgan?

Yeah I'm still trying to find room for a few more 3♣. The Horses are handy and this deck might become more viable in the future if Law Dogs get a Healy like dude with a horse bonus. I kinda threw it together for fun and i really wanted to build it around 7s & 8s for the bounty\hired help combo. Played online a bit and was surprised how well it worked. I always start on the higher end of wealth, for instance if I start the Judge I only include Tommy and Travis to have some cash onhand. I guess the advantage is surprise factor? Maybe not what folks expect?

I guess also in regards to the cash issue the idea is to pop the opponent in the mouth early and apply pressure giving me a turn or two to maybe not have to spend as much and therefore build up a bit. Also with Clem in a bar early if she was a starter I can apply bounties pretty easily every turn, and then isolate a heavily wanted dude with Pistol Whips if I'm light on cash. All of this obviously needs more actual practical testing.
