When I change versions, it means a total change from the previous version. In this case, Sloane instead of Law Dogs. With 5 wealth, 6 influence, and 2 income with the home ability, this version gives you playable options right from the start.

With cheatin' hands, you have to plan around the most dangerous cheatin' effects out there, which to me are Tommy Harden's trait and Coachwhip. Raising hand rank and guaranteed acing a dude is a devastating combo, so I felt it would be interesting to show them Law Dogs what fer by taking that strategy and doing it better. You get one choice for a cheatin' ability, so offering a couple focused options plus traits might tip the scales in Sloane's favor.

With No Funny Stuff, you cannot use the home ability for shootouts, so plan to use it for lowball only. This deck is a bit more strategic since you can launch a fight when you are ready with Kidnappin'. Devil's Joker and Barton raises your cheatin' hand, and if they cheat you can choose to use Jael's Guile, Coachwhip, or LeMat Revolver. What choice you make is up to you. This is a risky deck too, since your opponent may have the same cheatin' effects in their repertoire, so expect shootouts to really mean something whenever you're in one. The advantage with this deck is with so many cheatin' abilities available, you might be able to afford to stay in the fight for another round. The addition of Pearly's Palace ensures that No Funny Stuff is in effect before anything else, if you can get the deed in play. Monte Bank + home ability let's you set up your best bullet dude for Bad Company, and a 5-stud Travis is both hilarious and super intimidating. Barton and Travis are on value, so if they get discarded, they only strengthen your draw structure until they come back. Experienced Marion plays for free, and while you could give him a Jael's Guile for his shootout ability, it would be smarter to give him a Pearl-Handled Revolver since No Funny Stuff shuts off his ability anyway. Quarantine Tent is handy to reset your home and offer bait to draw your opponent out to a fight.

Drawbacks: Every dude in the deck has upkeep, and there aren't many good choices in 10 value right now for the faction. I ended up going with dudes with some influence that were relatively cheap to play and that brought some small advantage to the deck. Avie is cheap and can buy you another day with her 2 influence. Doris can get at least one control point. He Fang is a cheap stud. These aren't the cheapEST, mind you, but they fit draw structure. They aren't expected to stay on the board during upkeep, either, and cycle through to keep 10's strong.

I'll probably keep playing with the concept for fun. I don't see this winning competitive play, just being annoying. :)
