This is an experiment to test out a non-fortress BtV, that I brought to our local Hunting Grounds event in Copenhagen. 11 people attended, including players from both Poland and Sweden. With two wins and two losses, I ended up in 7th place.

The deck has some great movement capabilities and strong economy if it gets up and running, but the setup isn't quite as consistent as I would like it to be.

Bravo for taking "Punching Bears" to an event. A couple of other Edinburgh players took this type of deck to a couple of events and it is fun to pilot and face, makes for interesting decisions.

Worth risking more copies of Mother Bear's Rage to set up more quickly? Owl's Insight, Buried Treasure and Spirit Guidance could also help speed things up but all carry with them various issues, such as low value or squeezing out existing cards you're using.

Thanks for sharing the list!

Spirit Guidance is the one I've been considering as well. Not sure what I would remove though.

To be honest, I think the deck might just be trying to do a bit too much at once - strong economy, lots of movement, decent shootout hands and Bear aggression. It means I'm never quite sure which parts will work out. Cutting down on some of it might strengthen other parts.

zenarchist, Thanks for the inspiration. Taking this idea to make a 4-T-K deck (with Mother Bear's Rage off-value) running out of Office of Ancestral Affairs...

Nice - looking forward to seeing what you come up with :)

I assume it's a common gambit to use #Kabeda Hakurei to cast Bears from Town Square, but has any tried going the whole hog and using #Harry Highbinder to attach Totems permanently to TS?

Sorry, don't know what happened there.
