And this is my League Encroaching Darkness I used a lot in the league games. It's a mean fast shooter with a tricksy starting posse I had played against me in the last tourney. Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery.

Most of the deck would work with some different tricks in the starting posse, but I really enjoyed this and will probably pivot my current Encroaching decks towards this.

Jun 29, 2026 ironcache Like the idea here. Do not like Val here. I think I'd be looking for conditional studs (same train of thought as the recent discord discussion), or a stud that I could use with Landon (IE: Abominations), so Maurice + Landon becomes a combo for you. Otherwise, I think I'd be looking away from Maurice. I dunno if claws are giving enough. A couple Soul Blast would go hard in their spot. Or Kentucky Windage to play with your Maurice theme.
Jun 29, 2026 ironcache (Regardless of if I was leaving Val or Maurice, I'd consider Black Owl. He's one of the strongest dudes in the game, IMO, and a significant reason to run FM, IMO. It's a 6 Hex list, you can 100% get by without 3 Hucksters.
