Lots of four of kind, full house, and dead man's hand pulls for shootouts. Get the spells and cheap deeds out quick to limit the deck to A's, 8's, and J's. Take away influence with blood curse and freeze your opponents dudes. With a legal hand Mario is hard to kill, especially with a huckster reducing the opposing dude to nothing with successful pulls. Let me know what you think. The deck went 6-1 in a local tournament, losing in the finals sadly.

I lost in the finals to a Sloane deck that used Ambush, Kidnapping, etc. I understand there are some low cards (9 A's), but after dumping Spells early, having Hired Guns to grab The Ghostly Gun to for a legal four of a kind hand, or a dead mans hand, I am not worried about the spell pulls succeeding as much as the draw hands. Magical Distraction is there as a hail mary. It's not for everyone, sorry you didn't like it but it plays better than it looks on paper. ;) |
Seriously? DMH Clowns starting Mario almost won a tournament? Please tell me it was a casual 4-players tourney, or I'll have to reevaluate everything I know about Doomtown! =__=
