I made a few tweaks to the deck, using cards not used in other decks (I think!). Y'know, because Boss Battle: Showstopper isn't hard enough. :D

  • Ivor starts in the game with two Hexes attached. Since the Hexes aren't in the deck, you can choose any two you want! Ace "Soul Blast" sends home or even Aces low-valued opponents. 10 "Shadow Walk" will let Ivor move around the board.
  • Bobo can start in play instead or with Alan. Since Ivor starts in play and is a Huckster 3, Bobo will have a +3 bullet bonus, making him a 4-Stud. Since the variant reduces Abomination upkeep by 1, his Upkeep will be 2 per turn.
  • If you have Bobo and Alan in play, you will have three high-valued studs in each shootout, when you include the 2-Stud token Gunslinger added to each shootout, per the variant rules. You can then add the K-Club "Point Blank", which allows you to Ace a lower-bullet opposing Dude by booting a non-token Stud. However, Upkeep will be 4 Ghost Rock per turn, which the Outfit's Production plus the +1 bonus per additional Hero will just cover.
  • Deck values center around 9 10 Q, so you can remove 8-Hearts "Paralysis Mark" and K-value cards. I added Q-Clubs "Thirst for Blood" and Q-Stud "Stevie Lyndon", who's a cheap Dude if you need him.
  • J-Spade "Kevin Wainwright" becomes a 3-Stud when he's in a location with a Huckster, namely Ivor.
  • When you play The Villain, you want to end the turn ASAP with Ivor un-booted. This means minimizing your Noon plays.

The Heroes can coordinate their offense against The Villain by performing the "Special Job" of Acing against the "Open Wound" locations, each in the same turn -- maybe even the first turn! This will either split The Villain's forces, if he proactively covers the Town Square and "Open Wound" locations; or makes The Villain boot his Dudes when a Hero Dude starts a Job on an "Open Wound" without any Villain Dudes, leaving the other "Open Wound" locations possibly vulnerable, or Ivor booted, so he doesn't gain a Victory Point, unless he and your Hucksters effectively use "Shadow Walk". This Job won't be a cake walk -- the Job automatically gives The Villain a token 2-Stud gunslinger to join the mark's posse, so there will always be an opponent to defend an "Open Wound"!!!

This variant is pretty amusing if you play with one of the Heroes as an Automaton, or both a Hero and Villain as Automatons. (: Unless you tweak the Automaton rules, neither will particularly care about the "Open Wound" locations, and you may be stuck closing them when and if The Villain gives you an opening!
