Johnny Ringo: a legendary figure, destined for a tragic fate: too expensive to start, but also too expensive to play out from hand.

Nevertheless, one of my favourite dudes to try and build around, and since I'd decided to rep Hank, I figured I'd see if he could help keep Johnny around fer an extra day or two. (Spoiler alert: history would not be denied Johnny's untimely demise).

In my second round of the event, I faced off against Agent006's Bayou Vermillion. Here is my tournament report from that match:

One Eye takes down a win, as he was playin' both sides! My DMA faced off against @Agent006's Bayou Vermillion. BV decided a New Town Hall was the deed to build, pumping it up to 3 CP by the game's final turn. DMA decided to broaden their horizons, in a starting hand which featured two Land Purchases but only one deed in the discard. By Turn 3, DMA had BV in serious check, so it was time fer some shootouts to start. Hank failed to protect Jack McCall (since a well-fittin' suit from Yan Lee's Tailorin' had Jack thinkin' he was a real boy... until the bullets went through him.) Hank failed to protect Johnny Ringo (since poor ol' Johnny couldn't cheat his fate - Harrowed stopped one bullet, but the other four took him down!). On the other side, Willa Mae was used to excellent effect to keep Alan Cambell roamin' free throughout the town (he was in at least three fights that turn). But in the final shootout, for the first time this event (and, I think, the first time in all my casuals too) Hank finally helped keep Kim Loyd alive, and DMA drove that pesky railroad out of town. Win for Hank Katchum, against Hank Katchum. ^^

Johnny's cost makes him very hard to justify for quick decks, either as a starter or as an in-deck dude. So, I switched up my start for subsequent matches, to what is shown here. I believe I also changed values, so I'll post the 3/5/7 version with its two reports as well... .
