Willisbatman 40

This my deck from Tombstone main event . I think I got 5th place but I could be wrong as I lost in the top 8 and if I am being honest I took the loss pretty hard ( so I didn’t think to ask what my over all standing was ) 1. My first match was against a very shooty outlaws deck ( Tomas was a super nice ) big noise Kate gave Ringo a kiss .then Ringo walked over to my General store and I walked in to a bad company style ass kicking I won’t soon forget .(the whole match was over in less than ten minutes. 2. My second game was against a Morgan regulators Pony deck I had a strong start and managed to stop a few early key jobs with some pistol whips couple that Danny Wilde her only deed there was little she could do to stop the March of the Bethany Shiile Fashion consultant agency 3.this fight was a dark mirror match with a sanatorium deck that was doing something a lot like my deck I had a pretty big edge as his deck including force quarantine and Bethany made my crew very resistant to that I managed to dance around until I was ready to fight and the last fight was pretty bloody and I came out on top 4. This time I Faced a Morgan gadget deck with which isn’t as tough of a match up as you would think for this deck while you can’t pistol whip the dude in the robot suit you can get rid of the bullet sponge couple . We had more than a few close shootouts that I only one by one rank or cheating punishment 5.this was a hard one ( as any murdery deck with a lot of forced call outs /jobs can be tough to work around ) she was playing a anarchist deck with a lot of weapons and unprepared which is strong ( most people know my thoughts on unprepared ) but I managed to avoid being murder and barely squeaked out a win I was not so lucky on day two when the same deck crushed me in less than 10 minutes . All and all I guess I did okay

Congratulations on cracking the top eight with the First Peoples!

I'm interested in whether you had trouble with turtle decks. Do you think that another copy of Nathaniel Tuwikaa would be useful for calling out dudes at home, or maybe even finding a couple of slots for off value It's Who You Know?

I haven't had any trouble with turtles I think it's the decks strongest match up . I do think 3 #pearl handled revolver is a bit much I would drop one of them and add the tea shop at fives

Love your take on an influence FP deck. A really interesting new archetype IMO.

What’s your reasoning for only starting 4 dudes and not including a 1 GR dude like Willa or Henry?

Willa should be in the deck as she would cover the major weakness the deck has( removal jobs) the reason she wasn't is I thought pistol whip would keep me pretty safe ( but as pretty much every deck was running unprepared it did not lol) . Henry Didn't make the deck because he would just spend the whole game booted ( this deck cheats in low ball alot)

Thanks for sharing the list and bravo for making the T8 with First People after they just missed out at a bunch of events over the last year or so. Pleased to see even post the limit of 1/attire per dude rule change a thematic deck can still be competitive.

Rough luck on facing your R5 of Swiss opponent in the T8 and getting knocked out - the Swiss curse strikes!

  • Thoughts on adding a 5th starting dude for 1GR to catch bullets?
  • Verdict on Alexander Sequoia and The Spiritual Society as relatively new EW tools?
  • Virginia Ann Earp - was great for the Euro champion so pleased to see this dude crop up here too.
  • Doomsday Supply worth considering for inclusion so you can fetch whichever of your range of Hearts you need at any given moment for extra influence/cheatin punishment or stud status.
  • Agree with you that Hart's Tea Shoppe is well worth including. Can be great for "just" booting opposing dudes dring shootouts to aid control of town, on top of its use denying useful booting abilities.

Bravo on being frank with how the QF loss made you feel - people are passionate because they care! Particularly rough to lose so rapidly.

You are correct, you were 5th. You played well and I'd tell your playgroup anytime that your skill makes the tournament scene and game more fun!

@Harlath Alexander Sequoia gave this deck the tail to go full squirrel people spent so much time trying to kill him and he manage to give everyone the slip ( which is saying something as I played 2 Morgan decks ) I think he would work well in a eagle wardens outfit as well .I like Virginia Ann alot but her power wasn't used for the entire event lol I tried switching her out for Zachary in my last game but I didn't get enough of a game in to see if was a good change up .
