I woke up screaming. As I shot up strait heavy sweat rolled down over the day old stubble on my chin. Through blurry vision a looked at my chest fearing what I would see. In confusion I saw nothing unusual.

‘WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT!’ I screamed as I looked around. My ears rang with cold silence. I had clearly been knocked senseless, but how? How the hell had I wound up back in my bunk? As these questions fought each other for attention I tried to focus on the last thing I could remember.

The Law had caught up with us. I had no idea what they believed we had done, but the noose they were carrying told me I didn’t want to find out. Nothing was fair this far out west. I had looked over to check up on Billy, but he was gone. In confusion I looked around. I realized too late that Billy was already being hoisted by the noose around his neck up the side of a tree. I quickly checked my gun then fired two shots as quickly as I could at the Dogs. A gunslinger I didn’t recognize took one of the bullets, another rang loudly as it hit a tin star on another a deputy carrying a very strange box. That’s where things got weird. As lead and smoke filled the air the box held by the fallen deputy flew at me. Just before the lights went out the box burst open to reveal a cackling clown head.

I shook, recalling these events, and cried out again. Still silence permeated my ears. Staggering into the town square I felt gritty wind rudely driving into my side. I was utterly, completely alone, yet for some reason I knew deep, deep within, I had some how lost.

Apparently that will be a running gag with decks featuring Diable en Boîte. Didn’t mean to steal deck name.

This was a lot of fun to play against, and defiantly would have wiped me out if I hadn't switched to Beyond the Vale for life sustaining influence and mobility that let me dance around in the early game.

Cooke's Nightcap is, I think, too risky. You could swap it out for Bank of California or The Mayor's Office and at least you'd get the benefit of the 2 CP (even if its not as much of an economic powerhouse.) It would also tighten the draw structure just a hair.

Why not swap some of the off-value deeds for J ones?
