Wendy has been my favourite character. The purpose of this deck is take over the town square, keep your opponent too scared to leave his home. The moment someone does Wendy either boots them home or shotguns them. Ok, how to pilot this deck. Firstly, boot Burton to put a bounty on someone. I choose the guy most likely to be in a fight, to make use of your home ability. The dude I choose is always their stud. Secondly, if you win the first shootout you start with 6 gold. If your lucky to get a shotgun in your opening hand, then load Wendy up. Other options that MIGHT be worth putting on her are a hound, tin start or idol. Otherwise head her out to the town square straight away. If you spent a turn putting a goods on Wendy there might be someone in the town square already. You want to get Wendy in the town square asap. As soon as an opponent turns up, challange them. As long as Wendy is unbooted, then the rest of your pose can boot in. Use Wendy, and any pistol whips you have (needs unbooted dudes so dont call out till you have enough unbooted dudes for all your pistol whips) to whittle down their posse as much as possible. The goal here is to weaken their posse in the opening round, gain control of the town square and maintain it. ie DONT leave the town square unless the fight went realllll bad. Ideally you want to fight their stud wanted dude by themselves against your entire posse minus Burton. If the fight goes badly, sacrifice Willa Mae to boot everyone home, then regroup next day. THE PURPOSE OF THE CARDS. You are running 4s and 5s. They are mainly there just for their draw value, though most have their purpose as well. GOODS : The shotguns are for Wendy and / or Burton. Kill any low level dude, espeically people like Allie Hensmen, the Brute, Smiley, or any Ace,2 or 3 value meat shield they have. The hounds are mainly for draw value, but their ability to "eat" an opponent's goods is amazing. Your most likely to pull a 4 or 5 so you have a reasonable ability to remove their weapon. Doomsday supplies are invaluable. They allow you to equip Wendy whilst she is in the town square, and you choose the goods you want from your discard pile rather than need to draw them. The pearl revolver is mainly to turn Burton into a 2 stud. The mule is to give to Wendy in case she gets pistol whipped, though you can also give it to Burton if he has the shotgun to ensure he stays in the fight long enough to use it. (Sucks if you loose lowball and get pistol whipped before firing off the shoty). The idol is to increase the number of dudes Wendy can use the shoty on. The Tin Star is to force a fight if they opponent stays cowering in their home rather than face you in the square. ACTIONS : Most speak for themselves. War paint MUST be used BEFORE a fight starts. Use it to increase the shot gun range. Ol fashion hanging is again to force a fight from a cowering oppponent. Ive found Point Blank hard to get off. Honestly, if you want to ditch a card, Point Blank would be my first suggestion. DEEDS : Most are draw value. Worm Canyon for income and to clear a dead hand, all out of town deeds are for income. If they are taken over thats less dudes you have to worry about. If they arent taken over then thats free income each round. Win either way. The rest are controls. As you have a formidable line blocking the Square you should be able to comfortably build a line of control deeds without too much fear of losing them to opponents. DUDES : If your camped in the townsquare, then Allie can boot there each round and be protected by your whole posse. The brute is a meat shield. CHRISTINE PERFECT can be your MVP. She moves to the most dangerous opponent WITHOUT BOOTING, and lowers their value by 5. This often makes them unable to join combat because they will get shot gunned. And if Christine gets called out she just boots home to do the same thing next day. Experienced Wendy does everything normal Wendy does BUT BETTER. Wiles is in there cause there is none better in a fight. For one day at least. Finally the wild card. Radcliffe. If you have the Shockwave inducer in your discard pile, he can become a 6 STUD SHOOTER. If you have the inducer in your hand you get it FOR FREE. And even if you pull a club your still a 3 STUD SHOOTER. Havent pulled this off yet, but it seems like a awesome combo when it happens. Finally, remember the strategy. Take the town square and hold it. Dont retreat unless things are BADDDD. Challange anyone who enters the square IMMEADIATLEY, so the rest of their pose has to boot in, then isolate their posse with Wendy, pistol whips and shot guns, and ace the few survivors. Dont forget to use your home ability to ACE any wanted dude that is being discarded.
