My biggest problem with shootout decks is space. I need to take at least 4 CR and 4 combat initiators. That often leaves me with 8 clubs already taken and not enough room to make sure I have the action cards to give myself the edge in shootouts. CR on items, helps but I still like at least 2 action cards to surprise them. That still leaves me with 6 clubs already taken and if I go crazy into clubs to get the edge, it destroys my draw structure.
Which is how I came up with this. The Duster gives me bonus influence and a way to start combat vrs annoying slide and clown control. The Duster also works really well with Hustings. I want to make sure they are booted at home so they can't say no to my call out. Husting does a good job of doing that, forcing them to boot or lose their influence.

No Bluetick? They're handy for keeping up the pressure on wanted dudes as you chase them around town, and can move your dudes from deeds to your opponent's home without booting so you can still call out with your dusters. |

Without Faster on the draw I am worried about losing Peacekeepers. Peacekeepers are my vote for best item in the game and I just have such a hard time taking them out. If I drop out gunned and Nightmare for 2 faster I can see it, but I really think nightmare is under valued and want to play it more. |
I love the potential against slide decks and decks over all. The Duster looks really good here.
