This was my first attempt at Doomtown deck building. I enjoyed inventing gadgets with the preconstruct Morgan deck so I tried to build a deck around that.

I took it to my local game shop, had a lot of fun and came 5th out of 8 in their tournament. I got beaten twice by other Morgan decks (one of them a crazy Lillian Morgan huckster deck) but I did manage to beat a Law Dogs deck; all of them were reasonably close games and I was pretty pleased with how it went with being a newbie. The economy was pretty good and I could have done with more to spend it on at times, it was only against the huckster Morgan deck that I struggled for money. I would have liked to add more Steven Wileses but I only have the two. I'm not keen on the Buffalo Rifle as I don't quite know what to do with it once I have it - it seems to end up with a dude I want to keep out of shootouts. I really like the way the Force Field keeps your opponents shooters from messing with you. I think more Hired Help would me more useful than the Run 'em Down!s.

All in all, I'm sure the deck can be improved no end but it was enjoyable to play with.

Andy has posted the crazy Lillian Morgan deck I'm talking about here.

Don't know what to do with them Buffalo Rifles? Well I have a suggestion:

Start Lane Healey instead of Jarret Blake, add 2x Pinto and 2x Kidnapping. Give Lane a rifle and a horse. Now you can send him to kidnap people or to bring in new deeds - no matter where he ends up booted, he can always join the fight!

Maybe drop a few of those double deeds and add a few more Cheatin' Res cards.

This came out really well against me, however i spotted that your upkeep was going up a bit, so i sat on your larger production deed.

I liked this and if you had pullef off a run em down on Lil it would have slowed me down enough for you to establish better.

For a furst deck, great work and hopefully you didnt mind me discussing what you were doing during play.

Also a really nice opponent, i kinda felt guilty throwing such a curve ball deck at you for your first tourney game!
