Tightened up dramatically from the first version. The goal is the same, Dr. Dawn Edwards creates [Auto-Revolver] (/en/card/01089) and Force Fields to protect Allie Hensmen, whom will either become your kill condition quickly, or will force a shoot out that will probably wind up ending the game.

Added 1 more Dr Dawn and 1 more Eve Henry to get another queen in the deck, as well as allow Dr Dawn more opportunities to be a causality in a bad shootout so that you can grab a good shooter from your deck for free, and vice versa. Added a second Carter's Bounties to round out this desperation shooter strategy by allowing Eve to join the fight immediately after Dr Dawn gets discarded.

Forcefield got another boost in the form of It's Not What You Know..., which when combined with Takin' Ya With Me will allow you to tie a losing hand(remember you still lose even though it's a draw, because your hand will be the lowest values of whatever hand your opponent has, thus allowing you to take 1 casualty for losing, while your opponent may take 2 or more for winning.

The deck draws large amounts of 8s and Qs, Steven Wiles and Legendary Holster will contribute to this, since Steven will be taking the Q value equipment with him into the discard pile after you choose not to pay his upkeep, ensuring a diverse pool of cards from which to assemble all the legal four of a kinds and Full Houses you want. Despite the fact that you have no stud starter, simply looking at the value distribution reveals that, so long as you hold on to the 8s and Qs, it's not likely you'll be disappointed when you drop every other value in your hand for your draw shooters. Even though the deck tends to get very control point generation aggressive pretty quickly, needing only maybe a couple auto revolvers and a forcefield with a action or two to ensure a decent shootout, you probably won't be pulling off any amazing turn one Kidnappin style victories. However, after a turn or two, depending on your draws, not much aside from a well placed shotgun round will be stopping these 3 young ladies from meeting in the town square, holding fundraisers and charity drives, and sharing rumors and gossiping about all the dirty secrets Gomorrah's largest organizations don't want the public to hear.

Do you have a money issue with this deck? Cycling Holsters on Steven seems costly as hell, and the Force FIled + INWYK isn't cheap either.

Also, my experience with Dr. Dawn Edwards + Eve Henry says that 2x each is pretty unreliable if you're counting on doing that several times over the course of the match.

And as with any other combo deck, I believe Hidin' in the Shadows is crucial.

It definitely seems like it would have a cost issue, especially early on, but funny enough, the mechanics on most of the deeds actually help out a lot, plus, to get a good shootout set up, you really only need the auto revolvers, forcefields, and cheatin varmint or It's Not What You Know.... Other than the deeds and like 3 of the dudes, almost everything else has a cost of 1 or is a shootout changing action.

Most of the ghost rock costs actually go into things like the forcefield. Plus, it also has the awesome combo of Steven Wiles and Telegraph Office, incase costs do get bad suddenly.

Is it all around a sound deck, eh, it can use some improvements, but those will come as more cards are released, or as I get suggestions, I'll give them a try as well, though I am trying to limit my card values under 7 as much as possible. Hence only 2 pistol whips, which seems to be the way to get rid of any big annoying shooters it might encounter while holing up in town square. Remember your dudes are the ones ramping up the control points, so the odds of the opponent focusing on your deeds are actually very slim.

The Dr. Dawn emergency shooter strategy is actually just that, an emergency strategy. I never rely on it for a win condition, and I'll easily admit it's whonkey and takes some pretty serious planning and timing to pull off, but Eves value works perfectly with the deck, and Dr. Dawn is a must because of the decks flavor, lol.

Don't you miss a starting stud shooter? Adding Angelica Espinosa or replacing Ovilia Jenks with Alice Stowe would still fit the name of the deck thematically :)

I do, I even actually used Pearl Handled Revolvers for a little bit, till I realized a couple auto revolvers or a well timed Steven Wiles actually does the trick rather well.

I'm just afraid that you won't always be the one to choose a good time to act. Kidnappin' dictates the rules of the meta these days.

Good point, I just pulled out Hidin in the Shadows, I'll give them a play test over Pistol Whip. They might actually work out better since the overall theme is to keep Allie alive for the win condition.

Tested it with Hiding in the Shadows replacing pistol whip, and I have to say I agree. I'll make the change when I publish Gossip Girls v.3
