I went 4-1 in swiss losing to the person I eventually beat in the final (I lost that game on a tie break by 1 control due to me moving Jake Smiley to the wrong location. The deck is a Hot Lead Flyin' deck with added abomination / Soul Cage and a Legendary Holster. Big thanks to all my opponents for some awesomely tight games.

Well done Chris! Looking at your stack I should have probably been even more aggressive, though I'm glad you never played the legendary holster as that would have really screwed me over! And that soul cage was just the medicine against my deck too, given that I was such a dirty rotten cheater....

It's Steve but what's a name change between friends :) - yeah, the Legendary Holster won me loads of fights as I'd perch Wendy with a Shotgun and Rafi with the holster either side of the opponent's home with a Hustings out. That was usually a bad day for them.

No idea where Chris came from...

Chris was my mate who was playing the Morgan deck so maybe that.

Your meta is all about all-in shootouts early, isn't it?

how often did Legal Instruments help you out?

Sep 14, 2015 Togashi Dai

@kazujmiI didn't actually play it all day, but I never saw it in my hand so who knows if I would have played it. It was in there for creating somewhere for Rafi to jump to should a combat start, or, in the event of the tie, spending 2 GR to bump my influence and control at the last second. Putting The Brute in in place would be a good call or any good Law Dog / abomination with a value more than 3. ``@Gozik`The deck allows for early shootouts, but I found that, in practice, I would build up. In a couple of games there's been first turn kidnappings of Jake Smiley which I've let go unopposed because it suits my purpose better to let my opponents get booted out so I can control town square.

what do you think of a second pair of six shooters in place of legal instruments? another ace could improve on the draw structure/Legendary Holster pull imo

It comes down to personal preference. Another Ace does help draw structure but I didn't find I had that many problems. When you draw your shootout hands you know to discard starting with 4s, 6s and Qs first, then As before having to count how many 2s and 3s are left in deck. I never played less than a full house and had Hot Lead as a back up. If I was going to go for Draw Structure, I'd put in an Allie Hensman instead as there were times my opponent was sat at home while I had a kill crew in the street. An Allie Hensman would force them into doing something, and that means it's Holster time.
