Unless you're very wedded to Mother Bear's Rage and Hupirika Sue I'd drop both from the deck. A few off value cards are good for lowball, but chucking bears at people is best done with 4x Mother Bear's Rage and committing hard to this idea.

I'd rework the start to be Mazatl, Lydia Bear-Hands, Mariel Lewis and maybe Maggie Harris plus Jake Smiley.

That costs 16GR, so you'll have one more starting GR whuich should make starts easier, particularly as you'll frequently lose lowball (a natural hazard of running higher values for Spirits).

Worth considering Curse of Failure to give you a high value you way to go after opposing dudes, along with Ricochet as high value Cheatin' punishment.

Thanks for the comments. I don't have 2T2D, but those look like some great options once I can get it. I'll play around with the other suggestions and see how the work out.

Did you mean someone other than Maggie Harris, can't start her because she's off outfit.

I don't know who @Harlath meant, but if you don't want to make too many changes yet, you can swap out Sue for Kabeda in your starting gang and you'll start the same amount of influence but with two more rock...which should be plenty to get your early game going.
