This is a simple iteration of the bullet-reducing, cheatin'-catching Law Dogs. It works off of Aces and Deuces, with a small chance for straight flush on A-5 given a lot of bullets.

Normal Starting Posse: Wendy, Travis, Lucinda and Philip.

What you want to be doing is keep up early pressue and use Wendy and SIYE and Pistol whips to whittle down the opposing stud bullets in order to force them to cheat. When they do, smack them down with anti-cheatin'!

Very simple strategy but surprisingly effective.

I think this deck misses initiation. 1 card is not enough to compete with control/landslyde decks.

Yeah I forgot to update it. Later versions run 1x Ol' Fashioned Hangin' as well

I like it. I'm working on a similar deck and while the concept is the same our choices are quite different. My theory is 4x12 (or close to it) for maximum chance at a legal hand, and SIYE with 6 different cheatin res goods plus coachwhips and This'll Hurt... I like the idea of pistol whips to maximize their chance of cheating, so I may add those in.

My biggest problem with Law Dogs is often economy, so my starting posse has no upkeep, with 2 potential studs (tommy and jackie). I like it so far, but it just feels like it's missing something to put it over the edge...

dtdb.co if you care to take a look.

You have a fairly low-value draw structure, a strong shooter in Xiong "Wendy" Cheng and 6 starting wealth. Have you considered tossing in a few Legendary Holsters? You're already starting Travis Moone to help you grab it on turn 1.

@Prodigy: Don't discount how powerful Wendy can be, if you're planning to play bullet reduction. There's very few aggro decks which can sustain 2 bullet reduction effects per fight. She's totally worth the cost and upkeep.

@Yipe: That's not a bad idea, theoretically I could add 1x or 2x of LH but it's going to be fairly inconsistent, only hitting 1/5 times or so. It might be worth a try.

Perhaps it's not such a hot idea after all.

Not counting your starting posse, the fail rate on Legendary Holster pulls would be 30%, which is too high for my tastes. You could easily get it down to 24% with a few cuts (or by adding War Paint), but that's still pretty risky.

I don't think it's worth it without major reworking. My comfort level is around 10%.

@Yipe Legendary Wendy can work, but it's a different deck to this as it wouldn't run the A-5 straight flush and the odd high-values.

@db0 This inspired me to put Wendy back in the starting posse for my Law Dogs for a few games last night, and she was a beast! I'd forgotten how annoying she was for my opponent to play around and she really helped me deal with Mariel Lewis who otherwise would have been keeping me out of shootouts and letting my Wardens opponent totem up his deeds without interference.

@Yipeit's not a clubless gadget, nothing bad happens if you fail. You get +2 stud bullets and a chance to ace opposing dudes sometimes, and don't discount the fear factor! I remember playing 2+8+Q LD with 4x Holsters, even 33% chance to ace any dude is quite good.

If you want to pull straight flushes more often, I've found having 6 values in a row on suit can work wonders. And what's the next number for you? Why, it's sixes, home of Faster on the Draw, which is a great card, particularly with all your deputies! Ditch a few of off-value deeds/dudes and you've got space for at least 3. Just my thoughts.
