DoomDog 972

According to Max Baine, James Ghetty always seems to have a trick up his sleeve. So that's the idea behind this fun deck idea. Ghetty can wander into your opponent's deed unarmed, they call him out for trespassin' and draw. They blink and suddenly he's got a Winchester Rifle aimed at them!

Play Concealed Weapons, then go and have fun buying guns mid-shootout with Ghetty's trait providing the cash. If you've got the Pawn Shop in play, you get free ghost rock!

What?! A deck about James Ghetty always having a trick up his sleeve, and no Hired Help?? (or Flame-Thrower, for that matter)

I'm aware Hired Help totally works with this deck, the only reason it isn't in is because it didn't fit the scene in my head which inspired me to put this deck together. I don't have the Flamethrower because I didn't think the 8-Actions would be as useful here as what I've got, and also it doesn't trigger the Pawnshop's trait. If I was going to make this more competitive, I'd probably actually add in more 7s.

I really wish Concealed Weapons was more surprising. I've never really used it and have no opinions from an effectiveness stand point but the idea of announcing to your opponent that you might have something hidden up your sleeve this turn just totally put me off the card from a theme perspective.

Would be nice to have something like a Sleeve Holster gadget that attaches to a dude permanently and has an ability: "Shootout: Ace this card to attach a weapon to this dude, paying all costs. This weapon cannot cost more than 2 ghostrock or add more than 2 bullets."

It at least adds the element of 'when' to the equation.

Really, you can burn [Concealed Weapons] out of your hand to throw someone off, act aggressive, then back off.

Not the best strategy, but at least it keeps them a bit on their toes, and frees up a card from your hand for drawing at the end of the day.
