Accumulate control points as quickly as possible while paralysing, cursing and blasting dudes away.

My concept here was to abuse the power of Paralysis Mark and Blood Curse in order to have strong games against most decks (though probably not as strong as normal clown control) but to be able to beat the clowns at their own game when I come across them. If economic control fits that idea, I'd love to hear more about it. My other cheating punishment is Takin' Ya With Me. Convenient, it also works just as well when I'm not cheating. That's why 2 Bobo and 4 Steven Wiles; they're expendable dudes who can either help win a shootout or take someone with them if I lose. Also, with all the boot effects in the deck, Jael's Guile normally kills 2 guys if they cheat. 3 copies of José Morales is because I want to get a second huckster right away, so I don't have to put all my hexes in one basket. I'd love to see another variation on this concept. |

That doesn't sound like a bad switch to me. I can't think of what else I would switch out. Unless you wanted to throw in some extra shooters that weren't Hucksters |

``@Doowa I'd suggest adding in some cheatin' actions: good opponents will notice you don't have any actions after you cycle through your deck once and may be able to play around Jael's guile by using unbooted dudes or unpreparing Jael's Guile. 8/Q have good cheatin' actions on value too! Might be worth adding in a Shadow Walk or two on 10s especially if you're adding Cheatin' resolution actions: it works wonderfully with soul blast. I'd consider dropping Bobo and a Steven Wiles or two for Milt Clemons & Angela Payne - back-up studes are always handy. Finally, Forced Quarantine is worth adding, especially if you aren't running Benny McGill to force shootouts. Jobs are important against defensive players - a couple of copies is probably enough. Not 100% reliable, but you should be able to trigger it off blood curse. I'd serious consider starting Benny for: 1) His Huckster 1 skill - means your plentiful 8s will pass Blood Curse. 2) His ability to force shootouts. |

I've been having so much trouble with the starting posse, 1 stud feels like 2 few, as does only 1 huckster. But it's hard to get enough influence playing with 2 of each. When you say shadow Walk works with soul blast do you mean it can return your huckster to the shootout after a failed pull? I'm experimenting with Jael's Guile as my only resolution and using taking Ya With Me, but I might do a more traditional list with its not what you know After some testing (I'm not a big fan of this'll hurt in the morning). I love forced quarantine, but I'd be surprised if I could trigger it consistently in this deck. I'm certainly gonna drop Bobo, I haven't liked him here at all. I'm going to do a V2 of this deck, trying a few of your ideas. |

Shadow walk with Soul Blast is usually for going in to fight and makes allocating people to the Desolation Row job easier. You don't have to overcommit to the job, but your opponent knows you can throw in Angelica, various Hucksters and maybe even someone else via Carter's Bounties. Forced Quarantine isn't too tough to trigger - one blood curse and you you're away! Starting posse - always tough. I like to vary things, starting Jake Smiley, Angelica, Maria Kingsford, Makaio and then one of Benny Mcgill (against control/deedslide/Spirit fortress etc) or John "Aces" Radcliffe against shooting decks. Aces works well against shooting decks - if they remove your stud (Angelica) with an action card, he takes over as a larger stud. I'd strongly suggest a broader mix of dudes, including a Milt Clemons or two on 8 to take advantage of the economy that Desolation Row provides. Things become much easier once you've got an extra stud or two in play. Recruitment drive also works well in this deck as 1x: you can paralysis mark your opponent's shooters (or chaff) and then recruit an extra stud or a deed for control points/income. You can even get Nicodemus to steal a victory! Angelica verdict: vital. A stud that can rejoin the job if sent home and makes committing to the job easier. |

Awesome, that sounds really cool. |
I'm working on a deck like this myself. More of an economic control than gaining control points.
This looks interesting. The only fear I would have is Cheatin' punishment. You only have Jael's Guile, I'd be afraid that might not be enough, especially since you're going to want to get into Shootouts.
I'm not sure you need 3 José Morales or 2 Bobo. I would think 1 of each would be enough. Bobo is sort of situational and would cost a boat load to keep him on the table every turn.
Anyway, I like the idea behind it! I'd be interested to see what others have to say.
