Been out of the game for a few years, and this was my attempt to get back into it and try my hand at a DMH structure. I've always been a fan of Morgan and the Entrepreneurs so I figured I'd marry the two.

The idea is to play deeds at a high rate using Morgan Cattle Co. thinning the deck to increase the chance of pulling that elusive DMH.

Being gone from the game for so long, I feel like I kept an old-fashioned mentality to the deck design, and I feel like that comes across in the cards chosen for this deck.

The interaction of Johnny Brocklehurst and Morgan Cattle Co. is a match made in heaven. The classic Morgan home being the titular landslide engine makes that added influence literally pay dividends.

Tallulah "Lula" Morgan has been a personal favorite of mine ever since her introduction, and I took this opportunity to try to make a deck where she took center stage. Even if that may have been to the decks detriment. Her ability was never used, however her utility came in her providing a 4 cost discount (when coupled with Johnny Brocklehurst) to my deeds. This allowed me to play any deed for free.

With Lula running around town booting to play these deeds, I elected to find sturdy studs on value to provide the back up. The stand out, as he always should be, comes in the form of Steven Wiles. It shouldn't be an odd occurrence to see him hit the table twice in one day, only to reappear the next day. Hired Guns is crucial in this.

In it's own right, the deck can competently shoot even without pulling the DMH. It was always enjoyable to read the realization from the opponent that the deedslide deck can shoot.

Overall the deck was enjoyable but did require a lot from me as the pilot, as most games were won in the chess match and not so much the shooting.

The tournament required the same decklist be played every week. Due to this a number of suspect card choices on my part remained for the tournament's duration. Since playing the deck a few times I'd change the following:

-Add Heretic Joker (Red) and Heretic Joker (Black) to help in the low ball wins

-Drop William Specks and add Allie Hensman....as usual. The additional pressure from Allie seems like it'd be more valuable than William's emergency influence.

-Replace You Had ONE Job! with another Rumors. Any deedslide player knows that Rumors is the life blood of their deck and a usual win condition.

Thank you for the deck list and the thoughtful accompanying write-up. Particularity benefits from the "What I'd change" section at the end. Great to have this insight from a player after the benefit of playing with a deck.

Degenerating to Dead Man's Hand - could it be worth playing J "Off Value" as just Jack of Diamonds and switching your third value to 10? Gets you Buried Treasure, which speeds up your economy and thins your deck.

Bravo on getting back to the game and indeed on doing so well after an extended break. Glad the deck was enjoyable and hope you continue to enjoy many more matches! I think you managed to marry an old-fashioned mentality with new cards like Johnny Brocklehurst. :)

Thanks ``@Harlath`!

I don't know about completely dropping Js (since trying to make Lula work with her Exp version was a goal of the deck), but Buried Treasure is definitely something another iteration of this deck might look into including. With deeds in a starting hand, money wasn't too much of a problem.

Js provide some beefy studs and some decent self- acing cards that mesh well with the overall deck strategy. Granted I don't think many games were won or loss on the back of Blight Serum (though I think it's a neat card), the influence and control provided by Meet The New Boss did help weather an early game Kidnappin' of Lula. Buying me a few days until I was able to bring her back with Hired Guns.

Thanks for the further thoughts and I'm glad Meet The New Boss worked well and had a big splashy play leading to a comeback. :)
