14/12/12 structure on 10s, 7s and 5s, going for legal full houses + hand rank boosts.

Francisco Rosales makes Calling The Cavalry very strong very quickly. He can also use his job to save Lydia after she's booted in the square with the home ability.

Turtle's Guard and Pinto work well together, allowing dudes sent home as a casualty to return to the posse.

3 starting income and 4 Pistol Whips allow you to play control if you think you're out matched in early shootouts.

Potential changes:

-1 Mustang. I don't think I ever had more than 4 horses in play, I'm sure I could afford to lose one. This deck could use help finishing games quicker so it could maybe be replaced by another deed, or another Run 'Em Down!.

Doris Powell could help too. She's always good with mustangs.

If it turns out the starting posse is too fragile, Mariel Lewis could replace Lydia, with Jake or Henry Moran over Zachary.

Nicely done - this deck looks very tough to deal with!

Calling The Cavalry - how often were you able to play it, and were there ever any times you couldn't because of the 'headline' issue?

I played it at least once each game. Maybe even at least twice, I'm not 100% sure. It was a significant force everytime I drew it and won many shootouts. I actually played against another horse deck, but it was still effective as I just made sure I always had 1 more horse than they did during any shoot (plus that stud bonus).

Headline was only a problem the one time I wanted to calling the cavalry twice in one shootout, but that's meta dependant and besides I did fine in that shootout anyway.

Overall, I'm really pleased with the deck.

The only change I'd make currently is -1 mustang, +1 Pearly's Palace.

Aren't you worried that dropping to just 6 horses will make it unlikely to have a horse in your opening hand and/or lowball hand? Francisco needs that horse in the discard to work his magic.

It's certainly a concern. I've never been in the situation of really wanting a horse but not having one available; the home ability really helps with that.

If it turns out 6 horses is too few I'll just swap back to 7.
