my starting posse is Tyxarglenak, Arnold McCadish, Genesee Tailfeathers, and The Brute. I need some help in figuring out what changes to make. Sadly, I only started getting into to Doomtown earlier this year. The deck is focused on punishing other characters and cheatin' hands. Im still trying to learn about draw schemes and whatnot.

If you want a starting abomination who's a stud fourth ring has one of the best of the game Funtime Freddy ( forgive me as I don't know how to link cards). I agree with Harlath that you might want to tighten up the draw structure . I made a Abomb deck that focused on shootouts and it is A lot of fun to play and play against a couple of problems straight Abominations have is a lack of influence and you need to keep that in mind while playing with and against it is starting more influence .Jake smiley is in mind a must have |
Welcome aboard!
I'd recommend a significantly tighter draw structure and perhaps a slightly different starting posse - after all, Tyxarglenak's trait doesn't do much for you when you don't have a starting huckster.
There are some excellent guides for new players here: forums.pineboxentertainment.com and I/others are happy to advise here or there! :)
I'd recommend thinking of three values with particular cards that appeal to you and build a deck around these, complemented by 4-8 "off value" cards (this helps you win lowball sometimes at the cost of diluting your Shoout potential).
For example, building on your enthusiasm for Faster on the Draw and abominations we might build a deck with:
6: Bobo, Buffalo Emporium, Faster on the Draw, Summoning
7: 4x Kidnappin' (off value) - some targeted removal
8: 4x This'll Hurt in the Mornin', Horace Manse, The Ghostly Gun, Paralysis Mark (still good even post errata)
Q: 2x It's Not What You Know... - extra cheatin' punishment
K: Point Blank, Ivor Hawley (Exp.1), Raising Hell or Sight Beyond Sight
Plus deeds on the appropriate main values (6/8/K). This would give 6 off value cards, which is a reasonable starting point to tweak up or down according to taste.
