Ever since I played around with the Morgan Starter from PBE in TTS, it's been my favorite. Input from various sources, including a decklist from LPF's youtube channel and the awesome folks on the Doomtown Discord helped shape it up, and I tried to keep the price as low as possible for building this deck in paper (even though I'm like the only person in my county that plays Doomtown.)

I already own a single base set, and the rest of the cards I need would set me back a little over $40 USD. The cards I need the most are Pedro and Calling the Cavalry, two of the best cards for a Horse deck ever, both found in The Showstopper.

The flex pack available from PBE give me access to even more copies of CTC, but what can you do? It also shuffles in a few more sixes into the dudes, and I get to now start with Willa Mae.

One base set grants me two more Pintos, one extra Blake Ranch to round out my draw structure, and allows me to shuffle around some quantities. Guns are gone. I feel like I barely need them when a fully mounted posse raises a Full House up to DMH levels.

Maybe one of these days I'll be able to play this at a table. For now I'll settle for OCTGN and TTS.

Firstly, thanks for sharing the list! Putting decks together with a specific/limited card pool is an endeavour close to my heart. This looks like a solid and effective deck.

If you had access to him Henry Moran is a great way to throw more horses in to your discard pile, particularly given the tight deck structure. With Morgan Regulators even booting at home isn't a big issue, as you can use your Home or a Pinto to make sure he's still available in fights.

With Maggie Harris I sometimes find 12 horses is too many (I fear there may be times when you have more horses than dudes to attach them to) so I retain a soft spot for the LeMat as it is on value and decent "on table" cheatin' punishment. Plus a small bullet bonus helps Nathan Shane really shine.

Glad you're at least able to take part in OCTGN/TTS matches during lockdown and as your local area lacks a scene. Once big events are held again, I can't recommend Pinebox's organised play events enough. It is worth travelling to a big convention to experience them. Both in the US and UK I've found people really welcoming no matter the experience level of newcomers. :)

The on-demand starter comes with Henry! Just leaning more towards sixes because of the inclusion of Calling the Cavalry.

Great news! If leaning more towards 6, is there a case for including Henry Moran as a starter and leaving Willa Mae MacGowan in the deck as she is "on value"? Admittedly risks Henry going in to the deck if he's discarded as a casualty, but can sometimes be a risk worth taking. :)

The only question is who to cut for Henry.

Diego Linares or Lucky Sky Bourne?

I would cut lucky I have never really like that card .
