Note: This deck is still untested, but that will change over the weekend.

Concept

Ivor Hawley and a few Pagliaccios will serve to lock down the town square, making it difficult for others to move around town.

Valeria Batten allows you to invent a Clown Carriage to hand off to Ivor Hawley. Call on the services of Richard Slavin if necessary to get out of town to find one. As long as Slavin is along for the ride, you can also use him to find Doyle's Hoyle, which is insurance against getting 2s in your draw hand or on pulls.

Jacks are rounded out with Forget, one each of the Jack deeds, Meet The New Boss and some good old fashioned Hex Slingin'.

Valeria's second purpose is that she's the backup Huckster for bringing Ivor back with Raising Hell in case he gets aced. Point Blank lets Ivor get up close and personal. A Secret Tunnel rounds out the King values. We'll see if that action holds its own.

We can't show multiple Pagliaccios as starters, but if you wanted to go down two starting ghost rock, you can start an extra.

Alternate Starting Structure

If you want to start with some protection instead, consider starting The Brute instead of Valeria Batten. I'd probably go with this starting posse against an outfit that is hyper focused on the town square (I'm looking at you The Sloane Gang, Desolation Row and a Mirror Match with Oddities of Nature) because it will serve to lock them down early. All of the other outfits like Morgan Cattle Co., Morgan Gadgetorium, Law Dogs, The Arsenal and The Fourth Ring are typically less focused about controlling the town square early on (though there are obviously exceptions).

When doing this, you'll probably want to use Recruitment Drive on Valeria Batten once that becomes available. Until then, the Clown Carriage is just there for draw structure.
